Day 5:- Rotorua & Wellington
We were still not completely out of our previous day’s adventurous hangover, however we woke up early morning and decided to visit Te Puia- a thermal reserve with roaring geysers, streaming rivers and boiling mud pools.

Nice place for nature lovers!!

On returning we checked out and spent couple of hours gazing at Lake Rotorua which was very near to our.

Finally we decided to head further south to the capital city of New Zealand, Wellington.

Wellington is a 6-7 hours beautiful drive from Rotorua. We reached late evening and gave a good night rest to ourselves.

Day 6: Wellington

Per our plan, day 6 was supposed to be a day for us to relax and enjoy our honeymoon and this is exactly what we did. Almost spending half a day in our hotel we went out for a walk and explored the popular tourist places of Wellington.

Wellington is the capital of New Zealand and can easily be termed as the most happening place in the country. Malls, side alleys, waterfront and the cold weather gave it an excellent look and feel. The eclectic street art along with beautiful Victorian buildings spell bounded us.

I can still feel my mouth water, when I remember the delicious palak paneer which we had at Hare Rama Hare Krishna Restaurant, located at Wellington harbour. A must go place for all foodies like me :) .

Next day early morning we had a ferry to catch to the south island. It was my first time when I was going to park my car inside a ship and I got goose bumps as it made me remember Titanic….

On the left is a pic clicked from our car while entering the Ferry to the South Island.

Catch my next post to know more :)
